WE THE PEOPLE

...
What an experience. Sharing patriotism with our children and our town.The children loved the excitement.

The Constitution is sacred to me. I feel personally that The Constitution was created by inspired
men. Our Founding Fathers created on outline for our government to follow.

Over the las
t 17 years I have watched the country change... I even recall the day that my love for Politics died. It is so vivid in my mind. At that moment, I wondered if I had just created some Utopian ideal of the Constitution... I wondered if I lived in a made up ideal of Patriotism, a false loyalty to those who died to give us freedom from a Kingdom, freedom from oppressors, freedom to prosper, freedom to believe in a God of our choice, and a freedom to speak and let others hear our voice... etc. I remember standing in disbelief wondering about all those feelings I had instilled in my soul... a real love for those who came before me, who died, and sacrificed for a creation of a country cupped by the hand of God and forged by our Founding Fathers.

Now I realize that millions of Americans feel the same way and are taking a stand for our freedom... to follow our Constitution. I look at my children and I wonder what kind of country will be left for them? Will I have done everything in my Constitutional power to preserve it?

As our Founding Fathers wrote, "...All men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.

I have great desire to instill patriotism in my children and to pass on the legacy of knowing the blessings of this hallowed land. The same that I had as a child, that my parents had, and that their parents had, and so forth. I quote from the Preamble my hope; " to secure the blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity..." I want this for my children, I must give them power to know who they are, what their liberties are, and all the rights to pursue happiness.

May God watch over us... and our children.

Sheryl,Whenever I see anything that is patriotic, stars and stripes, I think about you. I know how much the constitution means to you. I to have become frustrated with the way things have been going as far as politics are concerned. I pray that the Lord will protect and us and preserve what our founding father fought so hard for and that was for " OUR FREEDOM ". I thiught about going to our Tea Party, but it was raing all day. looks like you all had fun. I love and miss you guy so much. You are always in my prayers.

I have not looked on you blog in forever. When did your kids get so big. They don't look like babies anymore. Slow down. I need to come see you. When is the best time to come? I have all day, but would be bringing 3 children with me. I miss you Sheryl. You are so inspiring. YOu shine enough to brighten any and every day.
